That is why devotees are enthusiastic to take the chariot of Lord Balbhadra, Subhadra Ji, and Lord Jagannath on this day. This chariot of Jagannath Ji completes by reaching the temple of Gunde. This is the place where Lord Vishwakarma Ji built those three statues of God.

The history of this festival of Rath Yatra in Puri is quite old and it was started in 1150 by the Ganga Dynasty. This was the festival which became popular throughout the whole of India as the name of Rath Yatra of Puri. At the same time, this was the first Indian festival in the A western world about which the foreign people got information. About this festival, famous finders like Marco Polo have also described in their books.
