The puja muhurat will be auspicious from 5:59 pm to 7:13 pm on the evening of Karwa Chauth, which gives about one hour for performing the rituals. The worship of this day is considered complete only after the sighting of two moons — one being your husband, and the other, the actual moon in the sky. On Karwa Chauth 2025, the moon is expected to rise between 8:00 pm to 8:40 pm, and women can break their fast after offering arghya to the moon and praying for their husband’s long life and prosperity.

Karwa Chauth fasting is performed by married women to seek a long life for their husbands. On this day, she breaks her fast only after sighting the whole moon. On Karva Chauth no food or water is consumed all day.
