Mother Skandmata is worshipped on the fifth day of Navratri. Mother Skandmata is especially worshiped for the blessings of a child for childless women. Skandamata is famous for being very pleased with the devotees in a short time. The beauty of the Mother is unique. According to Hindu Dharma, Skandmata is the daughter of the Himalayas, Parvati, who is also revered by her devotees as Maheshwari and Gauri. By worshipping the mother, the devotees get salvation. Mother removes all the misery of devotees and gives them happiness. According to ancient legends, Skanda is also known by the name 'Kumar Kartikeya'. He was the Generals of Gods in the famous Devasura Sangram. He was called Shakti and Kumar in the Puranas. As she is the mother of God Skanda, in this form, Mother Durga is known as Skandmata.

Worship method or procedure of Skandamata-

For those devotees who worship Goddess Durga in these nine days, this day of Durga Puja is very special. In the worship of Mother Skandamata, you can use white clothes. This day is best for the calming worship of Budh or planet Mercury.
