IPL 2020 Updates - IPL Suspended/Posponed till April 15th, 2020

The official ICC Website updated today that the Vivo IPL 2020 will now be postponed until April 15th, 2020 due to the COVID-19 and the coronavirus outbreak, BCCI official website, and the IPL handle shared the latest update and news with the header "BCCI SUSPENDS IPL 2020 TILL 15th APRIL 2020" Finally the IPL 2020 will officially be delayed until April'15'2020.

The BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) has finally decided to postpone IPL 2020 until 15th April 2020, this move by BCCI can be seen as a prudent action against the continuing spread of COVID-19 (Novel Corona Virus) situation in the country.

The decision was taken concerning all the stakeholders and keeping public health at utmost priority. BCCI led by Sourav Ganguly is trying to take all the required and necessary actions to make sure that everyone connected directly or indirectly which also includes the IPL fans across the world should have a safe cricketing experience.

BCCI also said that it is working closely with the Govt. of India along with the MYAS (Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports), MHFW (Ministry of Health and Family Welfare) and all the other Central and State Govt. Dept.   BCCI and all of its officers are keeping a tab on the latest updates on the COVID-19 updates and preparing to take the necessary steps, so for now, for the fans, it could be a little disheartening that the VIVO IPL 2020 is suspended however for public interest such a broad step by BCCI should be highly praised.
